Applet Tablet Design Basics
I See in lot of forums people talking about the apple's upcoming tablet. And they search relentlessly for an image of the tablet and also believe whatever the so called insiders and blogs leaked information's about the tablet design. Before getting into this mad race, Please have a certain idea of How products (Hardware+Software) are designed and what can be expected.
Basic design expectations in Tablet from Apple:
1) The position of Dock:
In Tablet computer, the Dock (Taskbar) may not be present or if present it may not be at the bottom of the desktop and would be defaulted to right side of the desktop. When your hands work with the screen without a physical keyboard it would be easier to keep the dock in the side of the desktop. Please try yourself giving inputs to a piece of A4 paper assumed as tablet.
2) So Thinner?
It cant be so thinner than iphone as people predict in blogs. It needs a bigger battery if it is used primarily for videos, gaming and family sharing :) Nobody likes to charge a ** WIRELESS ** device that often a day.
3) You can comfortably hold an iPhone without touching its screen and the pressure to the screen is less. How will the handling be in tablet?
4) on screen keyboard is going to disturb the screen usage area a lot if not handled in apple way.
5) Front side glass, back side shiny aluminum body? Naah,.wont be slippery? How about a matte screen and matte back-finish?
6) Will there be a mouse pointer? No... You are not dragging a mouse in an apple tablet.
7) cursor for texts ? Yes
8) some selling points: Video camera, video chatting, a back-side stand/dock to hold tablet for easy watching multimedia, DVD Read write etc :) -You need it right ?
